Regular Season Round 16: Pelister - Angeli 100-78

Bottom-rankedAngeli (0-16) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 100-78 loss to third ranked Pelister (12-4) in Bitola on Friday evening. They shot 60.6 percent from the field. Pelister forced 20 Angeli turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American Langston Wilson (206-2000, college: Milwaukee, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes, agency: AltusBasket) who added 18 points during the contest. Wilson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Bojan Stojanoski (-2004) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American forward Deng Reng (198, college: Ferris St.) scored 18 points. Five Pelister and four Angeli players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pelister have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-4 record having four points less than leader MZT Skopje. Newly promoted Angeli still closes the standings.
